Partnership with the Trust for Public Land reflects Kimpton's renovation of one-of-a-kind Hotels
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 25, 2004 --/WORLD-WIRE/-- A night's rest at a Kimpton Hotel will not only refresh you, it will help save land and create new parks.
A leader in renovating unique buildings into innovative and eco-friendly hotels, Kimpton Hotels (www.kimptonhotels.com) announced today a new nationwide partnership with the leading national conservation nonprofit working to conserve land for people, the Trust for Public Land (TPL, www.tpl.org). The partnership includes the "TPL Rate" at all Kimpton Hotels. When a guest asks for the TPL Rate, he or she receives the best available rate and Kimpton makes a donation of $10 to benefit TPL's conservation mission in cities and communities across America.

Kimpton Hotels has a global, eco-friendly outlook that includes a sense of responsibility, appreciation and care for the planet. Kimpton is committed to offering travelers the option of eco-friendly accommodations. Kimpton begins conserving at the top, using recyclable paper and soy ink on all collateral and correspondence in the San Francisco-based home office. Other eco-friendly activities at Kimpton Hotel include water saving and recycle programs, the company also has plans to develop eco-floors at its 38 hotels nationwide.
Kimpton's Hotel Triton, now a completely "green" and eco-friendly hotel, was the first to introduce an eco-friendly floor. In 2004, Hotel Triton stepped up its efforts with the creation of environmentally conscious celebrity suites and rooms. The Hotel Triton has been selected by the California Integrated Waste Management Board as the model for it Green Hotels Program.
Additionally, Kimpton Hotels has developed significant partnerships to further its environmentally friendly philosophy. Danny Seo, leading eco-stylist, environmental advocate and contributor to Organic Style magazine serves as an eco-consultant for Kimpton Hotels.
