EXPENSE-PAID TOUR TO JOURNALIST TO VISIT PERUVIAN RAINFOREST TO SEE RESCUE EFFORT

Cool Earth NEW YORK, NY, February 23, 2009 --/WORLD-WIRE/-- Journalist is invited to explore Peru’s Ashaninka Corridor to see first-hand how Cool Earth is helping to stave off rainforest devastation by securing threatened land and putting it in a trust managed by locals. The all-expense-paid trip, from March 14-21, begins in Lima, Peru, and continues over the Andes to Satipo. On the trip, you'll see deforestation in action, meet the native Ashaninkas, and visit local schools and villages.

The sponsor of the trip, Cool Earth, www.coolearth.org, is a charity that protects endangered rainforest to combat global warming, protect ecosystems and provide sustainable jobs for local people. Cool Earth’s approach is simple: to secure land that would otherwise be sold to loggers and ranchers and to price deforestation out of the market.

Journalists must pre-sell the story prior to trip. For additional information please contact Bari Kurzman at (212) 539-3288 or barik@mbooth.com. Deadline to respond is 4 p.m. ET, Wednesday, March 3.
