BIG ROCK, IL, September 10, 2007 --/WORLD-WIRE/--Esther's Place is hosting their 2nd Annual Spin-In on Saturday, September 15th from 10-4 pm and will have refreshments, live music, storytelling, fiber arts demonstrations, a free natural dyeing workshop and more! There is no cost to enjoy the fun - and the whole family is welcome.

Esther's Place, a fiber arts studio, offers a wide variety of fun classes as well as parties and tours. Housed in a cozy Victorian home, they'll welcome you to feel right at home.

When asked what their most important aspect of the business is, owner Donna Lehrer says, "Making customers enjoy fiber in a relaxing and warm environment."

From overnight retreats to the very fiber on the shelves, uniqueness is evident. "All our fibers come from local farms right here in Illinois," shares Lehrer.

The Illinois Green Pastures Fiber Co-Op, brainchild of both Lehrer and her daughter Natasha, has over thirty farms within the state, and desires to promote and market their fibers. Their goal is to bridge the agricultural and art communities through their many activities.

Esther's Place wants to celebrate all this and more, and the Spin-In on Saturday September 15th, represents all the wonderful attributes of the rural community.

While you are there, step into the past at the Big Rock Plowing Match, right down the road. A local festival 113 years old and still going strong, it involves a rich agricultural tradition not seen very much these days - old time plowing. Watch antique tractors and plows at work, turning over the soil with skill and deftness as plowmen compete.

Walk around the shaded park and enjoy barbecue pork chops or view handiwork, foods and vegetables from the community at the fair. Talk with members of the community and learn about the past in the Big Rock Corn Crib Museum. For the kids, there are even amusement rides and more! The Plowing Match is held on both Saturday and Sunday the 15th and 16th.

Come out to Big Rock for a slice of country fun. Located just west of Aurora on Rt 30, we're closer than you think! With tractors and tradition, fiber and family, you will have an enjoyable weekend and leave feeling refreshed and renewed. Plus - come visit Esther's Place booth at the Plowing Match and receive a free wooly soap scrub, complements of the Illinois Green Pastures Fiber Co-Op.
