The mission of Terra Incognita Ecotours is to positively impact, and to strengthen the local organizations dedicated to conservation, and the African Conservation Foundation is a perfect fit for this mission. "This partnership will absolutely help ensure that ecotourism is a positive force for conservation and an economically viable alternative to habitat destruction and exploitation" said Ged Caddick the founder of Terra Incognita Ecotours. The partnership provides a contribution to the African Conservation Foundation for each person registering for a trip to see the Mountain Gorillas this coming November. The tour is promoted by both the African Conservation Foundation and Terra Incognita Ecotours, and the initial offering of this partnership is the "Gorillas in the Mist" tour to Rwanda and Uganda from November 11 - 20, 2005. This ten-day trip will TWICE trek to see the endangered Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda and Uganda. Plus, tour participants will also have the opportunity to visit the grave of Dian Fossey, who dedicated her life to these beautiful animals, and is now buried alongside some of her favorite Gorillas at the Kerisoke Research Station where she worked for so many years. This first fully escorted tour is limited to twelve participants, and costs $4,999 per person, including both Gorilla viewing permits, transportation, accommodations and all meals. It does not include International Airfare.
