GREEN BUILDING EXCHANGE TO OPEN FIRST-EVER BUSINESS AND EDUCATION CENTER DEDICATED TO ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY BUILDING PRACTICES

REDWOOD CITY, California December 14, 2006 --/WORLD-WIRE/-- On February 10th, 2007, Green Building Exchange will open a 55,000 square foot exhibition-marketplace facility in Redwood City, California. This unique hive-like model will be the first of its kind, dedicated solely to the business of sustainable, “green” building. The multipurpose green center will house unmanned exhibition booths, education auditoriums, a resource center, and a bookstore. The public will be able to review products and services from hundreds of green building professionals, attend classes, and meet with the leading innovators of the green building industry.

Located conveniently between San Francisco and San Jose, California, this new exhibition site will become the central location for access to green building vendors who will be able to showcase their products and services in individual exhibition booths located throughout the facility. Building professionals such as architects, builders, and subcontractors, can utilize the meeting rooms for conducting business. The Green Building Exchange will include several large capacity classrooms, allowing training and educational institutions to actively use the facility.

“We want to move the greening of the building industry forward using the ancient world marketplace model to excite growth through competition and communication. In other words, a gathering place of people, goods and services,” states GBE president Michael Schaeffer. “We will offer to the public as many choices for sustainable building projects as are available in the conventional building industry.” Green Building Exchange will be the mecca of green activity on the west coast.

Green building vendors, professionals, and educational organizations are encouraged to contact Green Building Exchange, at 305 Main Street, Redwood City, CA 94063, for more information on how to participate in this evolutionary program.
